Which grants may be available?

Opportunities depend on the applicant, location, sector, investment and timing. Programmes may support digitalisation, energy efficiency, hiring, training, innovation, internationalisation, rural projects, tourism, mobility or business creation.

A grant announcement is not an automatic entitlement. The call normally defines eligible applicants, costs, execution dates, scoring criteria, incompatibilities and available budget.

National and regional subsidies

EU-funded programmes and NextGenerationEU calls

Aid for autónomos, SMEs and new companies

Energy, digitalisation and innovation incentives

Employment and vocational-training support

Eligibility must be checked before spending

Many programmes exclude expenditure incurred before the permitted start date. Applicants may also need to be current with Spanish tax and Social Security obligations, hold the required licences and remain below applicable state-aid limits.

We review the legal applicant, project location, company size, sector codes, connected enterprises, previous aid and the proposed budget before recommending an application.

The application file

A convincing file links the planned investment to the objectives of the call. It usually combines official forms with a project report, quotations, financial information, declarations and proof that the applicant meets the conditions.

Project and investment memorandum

Detailed budget and supplier quotations

Tax and Social Security certificates

Company, autónomo or association documentation

Declarations concerning other aid and connected companies

After approval: justification and payment

Approval is only the beginning. The beneficiary must execute the project within the authorised period, maintain an audit trail, pay expenses through accepted methods and submit invoices, bank evidence and technical reports.

Changes to suppliers, amounts, dates or project scope may require prior authorisation. Incomplete justification can reduce the award or lead to repayment.

How FLIN assists

We coordinate the administrative side of the process in English: opportunity screening, document lists, application preparation, communication with the granting body, correction requests and the final justification package.

Specialist technical, tax or legal input is coordinated where the programme requires it. No grant or approval can be guaranteed because the competent authority decides each application.

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Useful official resources

Official requirements, fees and procedures can change. The competent authority and current rules are checked for each individual case.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions about Grants and Subsidies in Spain

Can you guarantee that a grant will be awarded?

No. We can assess eligibility and improve the completeness of the file, but the public authority applies the call rules and available budget.

Can I apply after buying the equipment?

Sometimes not. Many calls restrict when expenditure may begin, so the conditions should be checked before placing an order or paying a deposit.

Are grants taxable?

Many business grants affect Spanish accounting and taxation. The treatment depends on the programme and recipient and should be reviewed with a tax adviser.

Do you help with the justification stage?

Yes. We can organise invoices, payment evidence, reports and communications required to request payment or close the file.
